Learn about and share Free, Open-Source Software with the
FOSS User Group at the Natick Community-Senior Center!

We meet 3-6PM on the 1st Thursday of most months (but 2nd Thursday in January, July and September)
at the Natick Community-Senior Center at 117 East Central Street (in Room 125, the 1st-floor Classroom).
It's for all, beginners through experts, on Linux or Mac OS X or Windows.
 We're WiFi-equipped, we're friendly, and it's free. Join us if you can!

At our Thursday, April 2nd FOSS meeting (as time and interest permit):

    2-3PM: FOSS Help Hour (give or take).
    3PM: FOSS Introductory Slide Talk.
    Raffle Item demo: ??
    Hot Hardware show-and-tell (5-min. each; others?): KeySweeper (Security? Forget wireless keyboards!); j5create's JUC100 Wormhole Switch (Security? Can bypass passwords!).
    The FOSS News: FCC Released its proposed Open Internet Order (400 pp.!; analysis: so far, so good); 30 years of Richard Stallman's GNU Manifesto, and talks from LibrePlanet 2015.

    Demo: Partition a computer, and install Linux from a bootable Linux thumb drive.
    Meet Geany; this FOSS integrated development environment (IDE) makes a great advanced text editor.
    Linux goodness: systemd update (techies, see this slide show!), workSpaces (old in Linux; coming to Win10?), Redshift and redshift.conf (or f.lux for Windows), and a Gnubik Cube.
    Fotoxx 15.04 introduces Zonal Flatten.
