About the Speaker Peter McAuley graduated from Bolton Street College of Technology in Dublin with a degree in Photolithography and spent the next 14 years working in several different production companies as a color correction and image compositing specialist, along the way moving up into a senior management level position where he supervised the work of many production artists. Leaving the production ranks in 1996, Peter then began to apply the knowledge that he gained over the years as a production artist to assist in the product management and end-user training of products such as Alias Eclipse, SynaFlex and SynaMotion by SynaPix, and is currently the Senior Product Manager for BorisFX Inc. Directions: Take Route 9 to Newton. Take the Parker Street exit (sign says Newton Centre, West Roxbury). At the top of the exit ramp, turn south onto Parker Street towards West Roxbury. Travel for one mile to Dedham Street. Turn left onto Dedham Street and continue for one mile to Carlson Avenue (on right) which is the entrance to the college. Carlson Avenue is located at the second traffic signal after turning onto Dedham Street. Follow Carlson Avenue through a residential neighborhood to the college security gate. Parking is located to the immediate left after you pass the security gate. Carlson Auditorium is located across the road, the first building one sees after the gate. Take the steps DOWN (not the steps up) and follow the corridor to Carlson Auditorium. By T: Take the Green Line to Newton Centre. A shuttle bus leaves Newton Centre on the half hour (e.g. 5:30, 6:30) The shuttle leaves from the parking lot on Cypress St. in Newton Centre, very close to the T stop. The shuttle takes about 10-15 mins to get to Mount Ida from Newton Centre. It returns from Mount Ida on the hour, with the last bus at 10 pm.
